Q - question

How to embed an interactive Revit 3D model into a Powerpoint presentation?

A - answer Autodesk Revit offers the ability to export a BIM project to the OBJ format since version 2022.1. You can find this feature in the standard Export menu. It exports all elements visible in the current view - so you can control which parts of the project you want to include in the displayed model.

You can include the exported .OBJ file (and its .MTL - material colors) in your Powerpoint presentation .PPT/.PPTx (since Microsoft 365 version) or Outlook email (since 2019 version) by using the 3D content insert function. Beware, the size of the .OBJ file can be large, hundreds of MB.

You can also use the exported OBJ (and MTL) model in e.g. the online OBJ viewer:

Use Open and select both OBJ and MTL files.
