Things are definitely looking Up! for Bangerter Homes of South Jordan Utah. I learned of them from the Salt Lake Parade of Homes advertisement and saw the mention of a full scale aka life-sized house based on the popular Disney/Pixar movie Up!. The house was located in Herriman Utah just down the road from me, and I just had to go visit it. After visiting I contacted the builder asking what they used and some of the details of this very unique custom home, they said they used AutoCAD of course.

Today I met with Bangerter Homes team member Julie Lemp who was involved in the Up! house design and construction project. This Up! House has been gaining attention worldwide including people reported to be interested in purchasing the home, and then actually live in it. It is authentic inside and out true to the movies 1950’s style right down to the doorbell, garden hose, old radios, appliances, and the Carl and Ellie names with a handprint on the mail box. Apparently there are 50’s style appliances for the new appliance models, who knew people love 50’s retro style that much.

I am hoping to get some more photos tonight as they will have people that look and dress like the movie characters Russell the pudgy little boy scout and Carl the old man but no word on < squirrel ! >
