I have Architecture 2009 and I am wondering if Revit uses styles similar to Architecture which was also originall known as Architectural desktop?

I have a bunch of styles (walls, structural members, curtain walls, windows, etc) ad I wonder if I can share these and use similar items from Revit.

You cannot directly use or convert your AutoCAD Architecture styles and libraries to Revit Architecture. But Revit can define its own smart elements (RFA families) with similar functionality. In fact, hundreds of such familes are already available in Revit or in web libraries.

Revit will be taking over the Architectural field in the future..You should stick to REVIT.
