Hi guys, not used cad for years firstly! I have drawn a brake disc unit and have one viewport in paperspace of it face on. Now I can't remember which was you turn it if you're doing a side view (on the right of the original view) and for the bottom view? Hope this makes sense but if you turn it on way the bottom will be on the left and vice versa. I seem to remember there was English and American ways and can't remember what the term for what I'm asking is!!!

Any help appreciated, any links to drawings where I can see a 3d object from different views would be great!

Cheers in advance!

I just uploaded an 8" flange with two views.

From the dropdown menu "VIEW" you can select any view, left, right, top, bottom, etc.

You can also "ORBIT" the view for show 'n tell.

Might this help any?

Whiskas, thats called angle projection. First angle projection being 'English' and third angle projection being 'American', like me, lol.

You are a complete star, course it's first and third angle, soon as I read that I remembered the term!!!!! Great news as  I've just sent a drawing off for a job application and I've done it right!!!

Thanks again!
