Q - question

"Assertion failed" error when launching AutoCAD.

A - answer Launching AutoCAD leads to an (ignorable) error message "Assertion failed" in IsValidToAddQATItem.

This error is reported by Windows (the XML module) - the module may be damaged or the XML files of the AutoCAD CUI menu may be damaged. Please try to update the ACAD.CUIX file (from another PC, from a backup or from your installation media), or just perform a repair installation of your AutoCAD and (re)install the latest AutoCAD updates (service packs, hotfixes).
