If you want to add empty lines between paragraph lines in MTexts (and multileaders) or remove double line-spacing, you can use the add-on application srxText (see Download).

In the replacement type "substring" use the search text \P and replacement text \P\P - this will replace all codes "new line" (resp. end-of-line) with two new lines.
