Import of UG NX files into AutoCAD.

A - answer The .prt format of the UG NX software belongs to the list of directly supported import formats in AutoCAD.

The standard command IMPORT in AutoCAD 2012 can import (read) both parts and assemblies in the PRT format from the application UG NX version 3 up to 7.5.

AutoCAD imports all following CAD object types:

  • Assemblies
  • Parts
  • Surfaces
  • Solids
  • Multi solids
  • 2D and 3D wire geometry
