AutoCAD offers default dashed linetypes in its linetype library for imperial and metric drawings and a couple of complex linetypes with symbols.

Bur these basic linetype definitions do not use standard scale of 1:1 and do not conform to the European standard DIN EN ISO 128-2 (dash spacing).

To use standard ISO linetype definitions, easily applicable not only in the 1:1 scale but through LTSCALE also in related decimal scales (1:20, 1:50, 1:100...), you can employ the extended linetype library "ISO-LIN", available for download here in the Download section or from DL Download. The library was created by Ivo Kleparnik.

This library also contains another .LIN file with a large library of linetypes for utility drawings (the CSN 01 3411 standard). It contains as many as 933 different complex linetypes. The files ACADISO.LIN and acad_SIT_CSN.LIN (with its accompanying SHX shape file) should be copied into one of AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT support folders and then loaded into your drawing with the LTYPE command.

The new, standard-compliant metric linetypes can be identified by the "m" suffix - e.g.:

*BORDERX2_m,Hranicni_m (2x) ____ ____ . ____ ____ . ___
A,6,-3,6,-3,0.5,-3
*CENTER_m,Stredova_m ____ _ ____ _ ____ _ ____ _ ____ _ ____
