Q - question

Pipe label in Revit MEP - outer diameter x wall thickness

A - answer The pipe object in Revit contains parameters like inner and outer diameter but does not offer the "wall thickness" parameter. This parameter can be added by one of the new commands in the add-on application "CADStudio Revit Tools" V1.7 (and higher) - by "Thickness".

After you run this command, all pipes in the current project are enhanced with the shared parameter Thickness, which subtracts inner diameter from outer diameter. If you change the pipe diameter, run the command again to update the value of the "Thickness" parameter. Then you will need an appropriate pipe annotation family containing outer diameter x pipe thickness - see the Block library and an example Pipe label d x s.rfa.
