Q - question

How to display current values of AutoCAD variables?

A - answer To display the status of several AutoCAD system variables, you can use the special MODEMACRO variable. If you set it e.g. to the expression:
"osmode= $(getvar,osmode), filedia= $(getvar,filedia)"
your status line will show current values of these two variables. Similar to other LISP variables, MODEMACRO loses its value on opening of another drawing. If you want to set its value automatically, set MODEMACRO in your ACAD.LSP, resp. ACADDOC.LSP (in the S::STARTUP function).
