Automatic area label - acreage of the selected object - fArea.

A simple LISP utility FArea creates a text field with a dynamic area label displaying the acreage of the selectd closed polyline, region, circle or hatch in an AutoCAD drawing (select the measured object and a text for the label). This label is automatically updated on any change of the area of the given entity. So measuring areas is much simpler. You can create the label as a new Text object, or pick an existing Text, MText or block Attribute to modify.

The fArea utility also contains the commands fLength (length/perimeter label) and fProp (labels linetype, material, layer or other object property).

With the option "sPace" you can switch the space (modelspace/paperspace) to select and refer an object from a different space.

FArea.VLX is free for download on Download

Just load the VLX file with APPLOAD and run the fArea command.

(with (setq) you can preset the _FAREASUFFIX, _FAREAFACTOR and _FAREAPREC Lisp variables for the label suffix, the label value multiplication factor and the display precision respectively; you can set the same values also in the command's option Setup)
