Q - question

Selectable text in PDF files from AutoCAD.

A - answer How to export a drawing from DWG to PDF so that the drawing texts behave in the PDF like texts - ie. they can be selected, searched, indexed?

Just write the text using one of the TrueType fonts/styles (in the standard width). Then the classic commands EXPORTPDF, PUBLISH and PLOT will publish - using the internal AutoCAD print PDF-driver (DWG To PDF.pc3) standard "text-based" PDF files. On the contrary, texts based on SHX fonts will be exported as vectors.
