Topic: Latitude/Longitude in a CAD programPosted: 08.Feb.2010 at 02:34 |
|
Hi All,
Newbie here with almost no experience in cad programs, but wanting to find a program that would allow me to input latitude/longitude (northing/easting if necessary) into a cad drawing. Does anyone know of a program that would allow me to do that? Since I am not going to be using this that often if there was a program that would be free/low cost, it would be tremendously helpful. Oh, and before you ask, I did a search through google, but did not turn up an option. David |

E.g. both "mapping" versions of AutoCAD - AutoCAD Map 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D - can do this.

Do you know if just the newest version will handle it or whether older versions would do the same?

In actual fact if all you want to do is enter the points, then even Autocad can handle it. Just convert the degrees into decimals and enter it as x and y coordinates. Done that before on the odd occassion....
