Bloom LaptopE-waste is a growing in landfills and polluting waters, but there's an opportunity to change that by using Digital Prototyping to design products for easy disassembly, recycling, repair and upgrade. Two new videos now available at Autodesk Sustainability Workshop teach Design for Disassembly & Recycling and Design for Repair & Upgrade, and feature the award-winning Bloom Laptop, just recognized by Treehugger as the 2011 Best Green Gadget Concept.

Bloom Laptop Visualized in Autodesk Inventor PublisherA team of students from Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA and Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland developed the Bloom Laptop by using Autodesk Inventor Publisher software to visualize their design and illustrate how the components can be disassembled for repair and recycling. Check out how they did it with the new Autodesk® Inventor® Publisher Demos and the downloadable Bloom Laptop Autodesk Inventor Publisher Dataset also on the Sustainability Workshop site.
