Only full (completed) commands can be undone. Object selection can be repeated (with Previous).

Zoom commands can be grouped for Undo - see:

I've been wondering whether the act of selecting and deselecting objects could be included in the list of undo commands?

Is it also possible to throw some out? Zoom commands for example.. perhaps have a different keyboard shortcut tied to moving the camera alone for zooming/panning (as in 3D Studio Max)

Thanks! :)
