You can now remove EDU stamps in AutoCAD 2015 - just by re-saving the DWG file. See the related tip 9757.

I think it's worth noting that in many cases people are trying to get rid of the educational stamp after someone else's unautherized AutoCAD use, not their own.

I came across this discussion because I work for an architecture firm with full (legal) access to AutoCAD 2013. Starting on a new project for a client, we tracked down some CAD drawings from the building owner for 4 floors, one of which was previously a different tenant than the other 3 and the CAD file for this floor has the educational stamp on them from some other architect on some project in the past.

I understand and agree with your ethical stance on hacking unauthorized use of AutoCAD, but there are circumstances that arise where a legitimate professional is put in this position and needs a solution that doesn't involve manually re-creating the entire drawing.

Strange that it worked but you did get the desired results so I guess "all's well that ends well."

Finished up the complete clear out of the old program then a new reinstall. Still the stamp returned. But then I opened the registration info page and typed in random/ incorrect numbers on purpose and submitted. Once it kicked back with wrong serial # and product key I resubmitted with the correct info and everything loaded up.
All is well, thank you for your help!

To really clean things out you must follow the procedure posted on the AutoDesk website for setting your system up for a clean install.  It's not just a matter of uninstall/reinstall.

I just reloaded the program and when I open up to begin a brand new drawing, I am prompted/reminded that..."The drawing file being opened was not created by a product from an Autodesk Education Suite"

"If you save this drawing, it will always be plotted with the stamp. it is recommended that you save the drawing with a different file name"

Not much luck here

I think there is no need to reinstall the CAD applications - if you are using commercial versions, the EDU stamp will never appear unless you open (or insert) a DWG file created in an EDU version (and in this case AutoCAD warns you twice if you really want to do this).

No, I have removed all drawings that were made using the educational version. I have just removed all autodesk programs and I'm about to try to reinstall the 2013 regular program. Fingeres crossed.
Thank you for your help so far...
