Greetings, I'm attempting to make a formula for witch I can find no good example. Thus, I could use a little help Wink

Program Version: Revit 2012

So, here is the skinny. I have created an Adaptive Family and it's complete accept the I cannot figure out how to make a "dynamic" part number for the various types. I want the part number to be a prefix with the Width and Length parameters added on the end. Say there are 3 distinct Types that can be of various sizes and each Type has it's own part number prefix (AA, BB, & CC).

So for example, say a Revit pilot has inserted my family in their project by selecting just one of the Types (AA) displayed by the Type dialog that pops up. They then copy, rename, & adjust the Width and Length of the Type to create what they need. They make it 24" wide by 52" long. My hope is to have a part number formula that would show the part number as AA2452.
