I'll never understand why people think uninstalling software is the way to fix a hardware issue.  Kind of like replacing the motor in a car because a tire went flat (extreme and pointless).

Well you figured it out so I guess that's what counts most.

Thankyou for the reply.
Yes I rebooted a couple of times. Also performed a software repair and re-install still to no avail. Finally discovered it was a keyboard issue. Basically when the 'Num Lock' is activated the 'Delete' key doesn't work! When the 'Num Lock' is off the 'Delete' key works. Very very strange, the laptop is only 2 days old........its still annoying but I'll put up with it. I should also say, in all other software both keys work fine and in tandem.

Did you shut the computer down then reboot it?  Sometimes that's all it takes.

Recently Installed AutoCAD 2013 on 2 laptops. On one laptop the delete key is not working. I have checked the PICKFIRST command and set this to 1 and also checked the graphics card and keyboard hot keys! The delete key is still not working! Does anybody have any another suggestions?

Thankyou in advance
