whilst dimensioning a drawing the text size suddenly reduced to barely visible. The existing dimensions were not affected.
Whatever i tried in properties or the dimension edit did not bring the text size to its original size.
Even when i imported a dimension from another drawing it inherited the existing drawing properties and the text became 'unalterable'
Help please

Look at the text size of relevant text style, size of the text set at text style dialogue has priority before the size of text set in dimension style.
I'm sorry for my bad English. Kackac

Hey buffalo,
Do you have any dimensions that are correct? If you do, set the dim style to that dimension style, type: dim, space-bar, up space-bar, select the entire drawing and hit space-bar. That command should update all the dimensions to the correct style.
Hope that helps,
nameci

Look what text style is in dimensions properties.
Go to Format-- text Style -- see the height of text(That should have fixed value) -- change that value to "0"

Edit the text height of desired dimensions

It should solve the problem

The age old question!!

We have a number of different text and dimension sizes, scaled for each scale we use... i.e. 100 sized for 1:100 and 50 sized for 1:200.. etc..  and then use the appropriate text size or dimension size where applicable..

Or you can (not recommended) place one size of text on the layout tab...

Although we actually use a mixture..  So that drawn elements have their text on the model tab and at the appropriate text or dimension sizing for the scale they are drawn at and then text for Notes, in a separate area are placed on the Layout tab.
