I just came here, registered and posted during my busy schedule just to say SE sucks!!.  And I am going to shoot somebody if my sketch doesnt extrude soon!!
The so called debate between SolidWorks and SE is a joke!  There is no comparison.  Im not sure how it handles large tasks such as sheet metal or whatever but it cant handle the little things very well.  SWorks is intuitive and knows what you want to do before you get there.  SE doent even tell you where youre at or tools to check what is wrong..!!

PS. IF I EXTRACT A SKETCH FROM A CUT SURFACE , I EXPECT THE SKETCH TO BE CONNECTED !!

Maybe this site is not the right place for you.
I can help in convertions DWG / SLD / ProE but sometimes it's difficult anyway.
