hi this may sound strange but can anyone help!???????? i have some how !!!!!!  changed my current view in model to white  i mean the background is white like all the layouts were as before it was black 
can anyone help (sorry its my 1st time and am still leanering cad )
 
its 2007 cad that i have

Right click your mouse in the middle of the screen choose options> then the display tab on that tab choose colors and then you will have the option to change model space or paperspace colors.  I am not sure what version of CAD your running this is for (2004/ civil 3D 2006). I hope this helps.

The earlier reply is correct but for 2007 and above they have changed the dialog box that opens after clicking Tools-options-display -.
 
I have attached the image to show the same.
