As courses go, Introduction to AutoCAD only touches the very basics of a very versatile program. The course I took familiarized me with the coordinate plane, entering commands, memorizing my "F" keys etc. I don't think I even began drawing sketches that semester.

If an introduction is as far as you've gotten and you're interested in the field, I'd recommend that you take one or 2 more sessions of AutoCAD that should cover the basics and would be enough to land you a job as an  illustrator of some sort.
