Wait Haw,
I think I may have miss-posted,  read correction:

I was having trouble sweeping a circle from one plane to another VIA a 3D spline....to make a realistic looking cable.
But as you posted, it should have worked...and it still didnt. I was finally able to 'splinedit' and change it into a 3D polyline I believe....it turned the spline into hundreds of tiny line segments. It literally slowed down the file open time, that single cable in a 3D solid.
I dont like it, and really wanted to know why it didnt work after I simply pulled some grips around.
Whats your take?
Sorry for the confusion!

It doesn't look like that can be done.

Objects that Can Be Swept: Line, Arc, Elliptical arc, 2D polyline, 2D spline, Circle, Ellipse,
Planar 3D face, 2D solid, Trace, Region, Planar surface, Planar faces of solid.

Objects that Can Be Used as a Sweep Path: Line, Arc, Elliptical arc, 2D polyline, 2D spline,
Circle, Ellipse, 3D spline, 3D polyline, Helix, Edges of solids or surface.

Hello,

Wondering if this is possible in acad....to sweep a spline that is NOT 2D, but twisted in multiple axis...meaning I pulled a few of the grips in opposite directions to make it truly 3D...its just a representation of coaxial cable...wanted to make it extra pretty, lol. But ran into the 'Unable to sweep 1 selected objects' error and now acad is stuck on stupid. or maybe me?
suggestions anyone? other than "its just a cable who cares"
