Hi there, my name is Jake im new to this.

I currently have a stl file that was made on solid edge (not by me) but I want to be able to edit it on inventor, I have been able to load it into inventor but i cannot edit the file due to it still being in a mesh state <if that's the right way to describe it

I would like to be able to have it in ipt format

Is there anyway this can be done? I have searched on the internet for many hours with no luck, any insight to this would be very much appreciated

Thanks

Jake

You can save the mesh to IPT. If you need a solid object you may be able (depending on the mesh geometry) to stitch the mesh to a solid.

Thank you for replying,  I have just tried this but when I go to select the mesh nothing happens,
is there any other way to do this?

Thanks
Jake
