Help needed with linking files.

Note:

We currently have 2no. linked files in our project (architectural & structural) which are pathed via our local server.

Issue:

When I work remotely our local drive ("I") is accessed via our global drive ("L"). When opening, the project is unable to find the linked files due to there being no "I" drive.

Is there a way of temporarily loading in a local copy of the linked files without over-riding the originals?

Hope this is clear enough???

Thanks in advance.
