    Posted: 22.Feb.2009 at 18:27
Hey guys/gals.  My office is taking the leap from MDT 2002 (yes 2002) to MDT 2009 and I was wanting to know if 09 allows you to automate a parts schedule with the accurate sizes of extruded or cut standard steel tubing parts.  we had issues with 02 because yes you could do a BOM but once you cut the standard part the original size of the tubing was posting in the parts list.  We were hoping that a bom could be pulled like what you get with inventor or solidworks.  It would save hours of counting manually.  Anyone know of any resources to learn about what all the BOM can do and how to do it?  Any input is much appreciated.  Happy CADDing!
