Topic: cad2007-plot preview fine, stretched when printed. Posted: 01.May.2009 at 16:35
I can't seem to sort this one out- I have been printing my drawings in Desk PDF to get drawings out but this package doesn't print in scale.
When I try to plot in CAD 07 to a HP 1220c A3 printer, the print preview reads as perfect, to scale, proper lineweights etc., but when it comes out of the printer, it usually is only partiallly on the page and is a stretched version and obviously not to scale.
It looks like a simple enough command which I'm missing - possible inches versus millimetres.

When you are ready to plot what is your Plot area and your plot scale set to? Sounds like you need to set those two things in order for it to plot correctly. That is how I am understanding your problem.

My plot area in paper space is set to A3. When I print at A3, the print preview reads as perfect but it comes out completely stretched and only partially shown on the paper. Also I have the same problem in model space. I have gone through every option on the plot page and it has made no difference. Is this what you were referring to?
I have to admit that I come from aCAD LT 98 land- it was a far easier pack to use especially in terms of printing and changing properties. Alas, I had to move with the times.
