When Installing Inventor 2008 I get the following message:  "An existing SQL instance has been detected.  Any existing ADMS databases will need to be migrated after the installation process in order to be compatable with ADMS 2008."  Then I get "The SQL instance you have selected is not enabled with Autodesk ProductStream Replicator.  To enable it, upgrade site MCRUMP1.  Contact your reseller for Autodesk Productstream Replicator."  Any ideas on just what in the hell that means?  All I want to do is load the content center libraries.  Thanks for any ideas.

Go to control panel and to Add or remove programms check for Microsoft SQL Server.

Maybe you have an other version for any programm.

Hi This is what i had to do when i installed my 2009 Inventor.

I take it you have already installed your inventor 2008.

If so then Follow the steps below, if not the 2008 is not compatible with the older versions, which means the older versions cant use a newer versions content center. There for you would have to uninstall the older version a put the newer version on. At the same time doing the steps below.

All of this helps for a clean install.

Steps Below

1. Firstly you have to uninstall all the MSQL. All of them.

2. Then uninstall all the previous versions of vault, adms.

3. Then you have to go find the MSQL file and delete it. In a 64 bit pc you
    have to delete both.
    (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server) For 64bit pc (C:\Program Files
(x86)\Microsoft SQL Server) Make sure you are not using MSQL for
    anything else
Before you delete it.

4. Then you have to delete the old File store And the vault server folder.
This is a hidden folder. (C:\Documents and Settings\All
    Users\Application Data\Autodesk\VaultServer)

5. When everything is ok then you can empty your recycle bin.
If there are still issues you can restore the deleted Files.

Good Luck
