i am using a laptop with [intel hd graphics 3000] and [nvidia geforce gt 550m] as display adapters how do i know which graphic card is 3dsmax is using? thank you

It will use the primary card as defined in your Windows settings - probably the nVidia.

hi
how do i check and verify it? the last time i disabled the onboard graphics my monitor went blank and i have to reset it in safe mode thanks

I think the 3Ds Max would use the graphics card and not the graphics chip.
