You can switch off slice textures using Registry. Use REGEDIT and in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion4.1\System\Preferences\Display set the Capping Face Options value to 0.
We also recommend to use TrueColor mode of your graphic card.
