Q - question

Is it possible to save Inventor 5.3 files to 5.0 format?

A - answer No, Inventor 5.3 has a different file format due to the use of a new modelling kernel - ShapeManager. But you can export/import assemblies in SAT or STEP formats.

It is of course possible to load 5.0 files to the 5.3 version (although we recommend to use the migration utility for this).
