How to get rid of unused blocks in a group of drawings?

Use the sequence:

_PURGE _ALL * N
_PURGE _ALL * N
_PURGE _ALL * N

in any script-processor - e.g. ScrGen by CAD Studio or Autodesk's ScriptPro - and run this sequence (script) on a group of drawings.
