In crowded regions of a drawing, with many crossing lines, it may be difficult to choose (toggle) from the many offered object snapping points (center, intersection, middle, endpoint...).

AutoCAD selects, by default, the point closest to the current pointer/cursor position but you can use the TAB key to select the other osnap points near your cursor - points laying on other entities. This option is available only when the dynamic input is not active, resp. the function "cursor entry" - i.e. when the DYNMODE variable is set to a negative value, or 0, or 2.
