Q - question

Launching an Office application starts AutoCAD installation dialog.

A - answer Trying to run Word or Excel starts an AutoCAD setup dialog prompting to insert the AutoCAD installation CD (configuration).

This is probably caused by an improperly installed Office add-on module (macro), which mistakenly refers to the last installed application.

Uninstall the complaining MS Office add-on module (e.g. scan utilities, convertors, document management integration tools, OCR, indexing services, etc.). You can also easily disable add-on modules through the security settings: in Word go to Tools > Macro > Security, and on the "Trusted publishers" (sources) tab uncheck the option "Trust all installed add-ins and templates". On next launch, Word will prompt you to enable the individual add-on modules and you can disable them.
