Q - question

What are the .SIM format files?

A - answer The files in the CAD/CAE format SIM come from the free simulation tool "Autodesk Project Simulus Technology Preview" (based on Autodesk Fusion). They are package files containing several types of sub-files.

You can view the contents of a .SIM file by unpacking it (Ctrl+PgDn in Total Commander or rename it temporarily to .ZIP). Beside the 3D model definition in the ACIS format (.SAT) and previews, it contains also the individual scenarios and results of the CAE simulations, plus the accompanying Manifest files.
