Using the freeware utility AttDefault you can reset all or just a selected attribute(s) of a block reference (insert) to the original default value, as preset in the block definition (originally offered on the block insertion).

Download the AttDefault add-on application from DL Download, load it with APPLOAD and then type the command ATTDEFAULT (to reset the whole block reference) or ATTDEFAULT1 (to reset just a single, picked attribute).

If the attribute definition contains a default value specified with a simple dynamic text field, the text field will be restored in the picked block reference. If the attribute definition contains no default value, the attribute contents is cleared (set to an empty string "").
