The universal web-browser-based cloud viewer of CAD formats, Autodesk Viewer (LMV), available either as a standalone free cloud service, or as a part of Autodesk Drive, BIM 360 Team and Fusion Team, can interpret and display 3D models in the OBJ format (Wavefront). It can also display them including materials (MTL files) and textures (mapped images) - the trick is that these related files must be uploaded together with the main .OBJ file.
In the case of Autodesk Viewer, upload your .OBJ, .MTL and .JPG files together, at the same time. In the case of Fusion Team/BIM 360 Team, use the upload option Assembly and after you specify the OBJ file, attach also its accompanying files - the MTL file and any texture files.
Using OBJ with materials is illustrated in the video:
You can view and share the textured 3D model also on a mobile device (phone, tablet) using the mobile app "Autodesk A360" for Android and iOS.
Some types of color mapping (per vertex) and textures (blended) used in OBJ files are not supported by the cloud viewer. The CAD viewer is available in many localizations (UI languages).
