Q - question

How to insert framed (boxed) text into Inventor drawings?

A - answer In Inventor drawings you can draw framed text e.g. using the Datum symbol - see the ribbon Annotation > Symbols.

After invoking the function, click on the location for the text, immediately use the right mouse button and choose "Continue" to not draw the leader line and instead of the datum letter type the requested text - it will be framed automatically.

The entered text can be then edited by double-clicking - the rectangle frame size will be adjusted automatically depending on the text string (even multiline text).

Another option is to use a sketched view, or a single-cell table.
