If you want to add your own symbol (a logo, graphical variant of a character, (C), etc.) to a TTF font, you can use the font editor built into Windows 2000 and XP and add your special character (glyph) as a so called "private character".
Start the Private Character Editor (PCE) by running EUDCEDIT, choose the code position of your symbol (e.g. ED030), draw your symbol and save (attach) it to a font (it will be saved in a .TTE file). In the Windows Character Map application you can then choose your symbol from the font you have attached it to - e.g. "Arial Unicode MS (Private characters)" and copy it to your Windows application - e.g. AutoCAD.
