Why doesn't my export from Civil 3D to IFC 4.3 export surfaces and solids?
A - answer Standard export of the IFC 4x3 BIM exchange format works just with Civil AEC objects. For IFC export of surfaces, surfaces created by curves extrusions, SubDmesh surfaces or 3D solids created by standard AutoCAD commands, you need to install the "Update 1" or higher for Civil 3D 2024. This also adds support for the IFC4x3_ADD2 schema.

You can download IFC 4.3 Extension Update 1 for Autodesk Civil 3D 2024 or IFC 4.3 Extension Update 2 for Autodesk Civil 3D 2023 or IFC 4.3 Extension Update 3 for Autodesk Civil 3D 2022 from the Download page or from your Autodesk Account.
