Q - question

Wrong results when adding or subtracting °C temperatures in Revit.

A - answer Internal calculations performed by Revit on expressions with parameters of the type "temperature" are always done in Kelvins, even when the project units are set to °C. In projects and RFA families, this may lead to improper repeated use the offset "zero temperature" - 273.15K - in expressions involving the temperature parameters.

Procedures and workarounds for proper correction of degrees Celsius temperatures are summarized in the blog post Counting with temperatures in Revit (°C vs. Kelvins) (in Czech) on our BIM blog NaZdi.cz ("on the wall").

Similarly, "temperature" expressions are evaluated in Autodesk Inventor.
