I have got a user which is having problems with his autoCAD. It keeps on coming up with

"fatal error: unhandled access violation writing 0x7fbd7c1a exception at 78145078h"

I have cleaned the PC up and it still happens. Can anyone give me a clue what else it could be.

Cheers

if he is getting the error in any drawing, I would uninstall AutoCAD + clean all files associated with it (including registry), check device manager whether everything works fine and no drives are missing. Install Acad back ... sometimes it is easier and faster to uninstall and put it back than searching for cause :)

I've forgotten to mention to install some of the patches if needed from:

I had a bout of this .net seemed to be the culprit.. alternatively "rebuild" or "repair" your installation using the AutoCAD CD - I think I also rebuilt my registry using one of those options already mentioned..

HTH as it's a PITA for sure!
