I have already drawn out 3 different linetypes I want to use as standard linetypes. How do I convert these simple lines into a linetype? Basically I have a series of lines I want to convert into a linetype. The lines appear as follows:
---E---E---E ---V---V---V ---X---X---X I used letters to show what has been drawn as lines in the above examples. I've searched different discussion forums and help on AutoCAD and can't seem to find what I am looking for. I am using vanilla AutoCAD2010. I found an app that extracts a .lin file out of any drawing which converts any linetype into what it looks like in wordpad. I copied it into acad.lin but still cannot get it to work on any other computer. Thanks in advance for any help. |

For such "textual" linetypes you can use the LTFly utility (see Download). It creates textual linetypes "on the fly".
