Menu loaded and other settings depend on the user profile you are using in AutoCAD. See the "/p" option in AutoCAD runstring and the profile setting in the Options dialog.

Our IT department recently upgraded our software to MEP 2008 and I have it loaded on two different machines. At the office my drawings open with the regular AutoCad menu. At the field office, MEP always loads when I open a file. Is this because of the way my IT department loaded the sofware? Is there a setting that can be changed so that MEP does not open? All the files I am working with were created with previous versions of AutoCad and I don't need the MEP component to load for this.
