In latest version of Autocad if your program closes without proper shut down then when you open next time you get automatically .BAK file in your main menu which on clicking opens as .DWG file or

when u open any dwg that time creat backup file where u save this file . this backup file show as bak file u change this name just bak to dwg your file is now recover.
