Like i say before, ask the guy to send you an R12.dxf. That just might fix your problems.

i went into the editing box for adding Macros, typed all that in for each command. tried it....didn't work. i must have left out something (new at this).

"flatten" is a LISP routine and will not work in LT. Have actually tried changing the Z axis to "0"....in the Properties edit box. Time consuming

command 'flatten'. Or, actually, your fillet and extend commands prolly wont work because the lines you see as x and y are actually comming out or in on the z axis, as you said. Maybe use 3d rotate and see what there actually connecting too, then the basic fillet and extend commands should work.

another problem: survey drawings with the "Z" axis. How do I eliminate the Z, so my autocad commands work.......such as "fillet", "extend", etc.

Tell him to re-send it to you in R12.dxf. Make your changes then save back to 06'. Doing that will eliminate any weird crap in the 2010 file not supported in your 06 version. Then tell your manager this would be a good reason to upgrade! |
