No, ...say i have a square plate with 4 patterned holes. I then want to make another part based off that one...by projecting geometry...(no shadow, reflection, nothing 'fancy' lol like that)...so i dont have to redraw it again. just project and extrude.

Sorry, I don't have an answer, but are you talking like a 'shadow' or 'reflection' of the other 3D object?

Hola!

I want to project the single plane surface geometry of a 3D solid onto another 3D solid in the same file, ala Inventor...the command 'PROJECTGEOMETRY' does NOT work...any ideas, folks?

any ideas would be great!
