It is not neccessary to take the recommended system specs verbatim - especially for the CPU clock rate. Official requirements are 2.2GHz, and 3GHz for 3D use or larger drawings in Vista. But any 2GHz PC will do. All AutoCAD functions will run on any CPU. |

Hi folks!
I am planning to build a new computer which should be able to run AutoCAD 2008. I had a quick glance at the system requirements on autodesk's homepage:
I haven't used AutoCAD before, always drawn by hand until now, but I thought that older AutoCAD versions also had 3D functions built in, and they don't have the stupendous 3 gig requirements.... Anybody care to explain? |
