Thanks! The problem is clearly at my end. Your block seems fine... |

Thanks Dave! Please re-up it in 2008 format though! Btw, the deterioration doesn't transfer itself into printed form... |

Just for grins open the attached and see if the same behavior occurs on your system there. If it does, you most likely have a graphics display problem because no matter how large or small I make things on my system it looks fine.

Just to make myself more clear: I used SCALE for the, er, scaling - not that it should matter. On another note, I'll try printing and see if the deterioration makes itself into printed form as well. |

AutoCAD 2008 has annotative objects but checked it and still the same outcome. I'll report back! Thanks!

Yep, I have! Don't know if it's an issue with WinXP though. I'll check it on a Win7 PC and report back! Thanks!

I created a simple block with nothing other than non-annotative Arial text (not mtext). I made the block annotative with a middle center base point. Then I inserted it at various Model space scales. They all came in perfectly, no distortion. I also inserted one at an insertion scale of 100. Still no issues. Something different is happening on your system. Not sure what exactly, you may have to provide more info.

Post Script. I just realized annotative objects are not available to you. Sorry about that. This method will not work. My bad.

Could be a function of your monitor's resolution.
You have font smoothing enabled in Windows don't you? |
