Has this been resolved?
I have some insight on this topic, but I want to know if any other methods have been developed.

Like I said in the other thread, you'll have to use a script to batch process the files.

Hi Amar,
Thanks for your quick response. Ya. DXFOUT I found seems to be okay.
But still as I mentioned this bug affected my almost thousands of drawings so in that case I am looking for some batch editing exe file. So that it can be cleaned by one stretch.
Thanks,
Joy Jacob

Hi, Joy. I know how you feel. The DXFOUT process is very effective and moderately quick, but en masse? Hmm, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that little gem for sure!

Dear friends,
I also facing this problem. I am facing this problem for a bunch of drawings.
So I am looking for a batch edit option. If any one have any .exe file to clean up all the unwanted line types from the drawing please advise me.
Thanks
and
Regards,
Joy Jacob

We can close this one out as solved. If posts can be closed out.... Thanks, JC! Looks like the AutoCAD 2013 likes to hold onto linetypes in some capacity which inflated certain drawing files. After running the DXFOUT command, a room block that was blown up to 5MB was deflated to 80KB. If the DXFOUT does not work, try DXFIN, adversely. On the other hand, we have a guy in the office still using AutoCAD 2008 & 2000i. He made a W-BLOCK while inside of an inflated file that DXFOUT/IN was ineffective against and had the same effect as DXFOUT/IN! Unfortunately, my AutoCAD 2013's W-BLOCK efforts were in vain...nothing but 2MB fell off of a 17MB file Site Details sheet that should normally be in the 2MB to 4MB range, total. Know that the Acad13 efforts were done before & after the Service Pack 1.1 was downloaded/installed/rebooted. Thank goodness for old technology!
